Leadership Council Avows To Take All Measures To Prevent Violations of Yemeni sovereignty

The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. Journalists Union concerned over increase of separatists violations

The Yemen Journalists Union have expressed concerns over the violations against journalists and press institutions by the separatist militia that seized the temporary capital Aden several days ago.

In a statement, the Union said it received reports that armed separatists "broke into the house of Ali Saleh al-Eesi, a journalist in 14 October daily who is now a fugitive outside Yemen, tampered with its content."

The separatists barred journalists from entry into work places such as the national TV and radio channels and the national new agency.

The Union called on the forces that control Ade to stop these practices and to spare the press their abuses and crackdowns.
