The Civil Aviation and Met. Authority, in the temporary capital Aden, confirmed that airlines, international organizations and operators must obtain a prior flight permission from the Authority to enter the airspace of the Republic of Yemen, as it is the official civil aviation authority of the country.

Yemen's acting ambassador in Ethiopia Yahya al-Eryani has handed over a copy of the Yemeni government's statement on the ongoing unrest in Aden to the chief of the Middle East Department at the Ethiopian foreign ministry.
The statement narrates the vandalistic acts the secessionist Southern Transitional Council is mounting to undermine the Yemeni unity and security and stability in Aden and by extension the government held provinces in general.
Al-Eryani also handed over a copy of the same statement to the African Union organization and Ethiopian news agencies in Addis Ababa.
