Foundation stone for artesian well project laid in Lahj

The foundation stones for artesian wells project was laid in Bir Nasser area in Lahj province on Tuesday at $ 300,000 funding from the Kuwaiti Society for Relief.

The wells, planned at a depth of 300 meters, will beimplemented by the Yemeni Al-Hikma Society.

The foundation stone was laid in the presence of Governor of Aden Ahmed Salem Raobay'a Ali, Governor of Lahj Major General Ahmed Turki and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Water and Environment Eng. Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi.

The Governor of Aden stressed the importance of the project in increasing the amount of water production which willhelp meet the growing demand on water in Aden.
