Saudi delegation follows up on basic service development plans in Hadhramout

A delegation from the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen headed by a Senior Project Specialist Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al-Ruba reviewed the plans to improve the sectors of power generation, water, sanitation, public works and roads and bridges in Hadhramout province.

The delegation was given an account by the director of Hadhramout Electricity Project Eng. Hassan Aboud Al-Amoudi on the current problems facing the energy sector in the province and the reasons for power interruptions.

The Director General of the General Electricity Corporation of Coastal Hadhramout Engineer Mazen Bin Makhashin and the Director General of the General Authority for Electricity of Wadi Hadramout Engineer Abdul Qader Al Junaid gave accounts on plans for the rehabilitation, maintenance and development of the existing power plants and addition of new transformer stations to overcome power shortages.

They discussed reactivating a pledged Saudi grant of fuel for power plants.

The Saudi delegation was also given account on the needs of the water and sanitation sectors in Hadhramout.
