Yemen, UNFPA discuss implementing health, social projects

Deputy Prime Minister Salem al-Khanbashi discussed Monday with Representative of United Nations Population Fund in Yemen Anjali Sen implementing health and social projects in Yemen and coordination with the National Population Council on this domain.
In the meeting attended by Minister of Public Health and Population Nasser Baom and Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Ibtihaj al-Kamal, al-Khanbashi confirmed significance of relocating the fund's office to Aden and doubling efforts in reproductive health and social care.
For their part, Baom and al-Kamal pointed to activating programs regarding woman's plan for peace and security and activating programs on women and children's safe area under current conditions suffered by people in addition to gender programs.
For her part, the UN official reviewed services and programs provided by the fund in Yemen and the most important outcomes Yemen got during the visit of the fund to Khalifa Hospital in Taiz and some facilities in Lahj.
