Food and Agricultural Organization- in cooperation with Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation- kicked off Monday a training field survey teams in targeted areas ( second phase) within Boosting Survival Project in Yemen's Countryside.
Financed by European Union, the training course is participated by 30 persons from Abyan, Lahj and Taiz.
The two-day course aims at collecting data needed for carrying out necessary interventions for improving livelihoods of farmers.
While the first phase of the survey lasted for three years, ending in February, the second phase has started four months ago and lasts for three years. It helps in improving corn and vegetables, feeding small animals and producing milk and cheese.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation for Planning and Information Affairs Engineer Ali al-Junaid confirmed significance of the survey as basic foundation of work in implementing the project.
