Deputy Governor of Hadhramout for the Valley and Desert Affairs Isam al-Katheri discussed Wednesday with Director of United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs' (OCHA) Office in Aden a number of issues concerning humanitarian support to Valley and Desert districts.
The meeting dealt with needs of the valley and the desert of Hadhramout and UN interventions in humanitarian field, in addition to emergency support to displaced people and coordination between international, regional and local organization and local authority.
Al-Katheri pointed out that many families displaced in the valley of Hadhramout because of Houthi militia's triggered war, calling for quick interventions for supporting local authority's efforts in realizing basic services.
For his part, OCHA's office director said his visit to the Valley of Hadhramout aims at inspecting the real situation in the area and reporting on its needs for providing necessary interventions.
