Panel forms to study Hadhrami musical rhythm and nominate it for World Heritage

A group of artistic experts have decided to form a panel to study the Hadhrami musical rhythm (Al-Dan) in preparation for nominating it to the UNESCO's Heritage List.
The experts who attended a seminar on Al-Dan in the Egyptian capital want it to be on the UNESCO's list of immaterial heritage.
The panel is membered by French researcher John Lambier, Yemen's former representative to the UNESCO and others.
The participants also decided to form two working committees to prepare a dossier of nomination for the Mahri and Socotri local languages to the heritage list.
