Prime Minister, UNFPA, NPC discuss future plans

Prime Minister Ma'een Abdulmalik presided over a meeting included Director ofthe United Nations Population Fund's (UNFPA) in Aden and representatives from the National Population Council (NPC) discussing preparations for the World Population Day.

The meeting also discussed mechanism of supporting the NPC and boosting it with qualified cadre and activities of the fund in fields of reproductive health and population data in cooperation with local partners; Ministry of Public Health and Population, Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation and Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor.

Prime Minister confirmed significance of activating the national council to contribute in making data helping distribute development projects, stressing significance of focusing efforts on sustainable development.

Prime Minister received an invitation from the fund for Yemen's participation in the International Population Development Conference to be held in Nairobi on November this year.
