NEW YORK-SABA
Saudi Arabia has called upon the United Nations Security Council to put Houthis on the international list of terrorist organizations.
The Kingdom's permanent representative to the UN Abdullah al-Moallimi demanded the Council in a speech at its latest session in New York to show some courage and name the parties responsible for spoiling peace in Yemen, particularly Iran which has been to this moment supplying the radical militia with arms in breach of the Council's resolutions.
Al-Moallimi affirmed the commitment of Saudi Arabia to a political solution between the Yemeni-government and Houthis in line with the Council's resolutions especially resolution no. 2216 and to implementing the Stockholm Agreement.
He said that Iran is still following its expansionist and provocative course of conduct in the Middle East ranging from the support to the terroris Hezbollah party to the Houthis.
