Yemen's Industry Minister Mohammed l-Maytami and the Vice Chairman of the Chinese National Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China Ninge Jizhe signed a memorandum of understanding for admitting Yemen into China's Silk Road project.
The signing sets the scene for new strategic ties between Yemen and China in economic, commercial, political, cultural, scientific and technological fields.
It will revitalize the historical Sino-Yemen relationships given that Yemen is amongst the oldest Silk Road countries in history.
