President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi received on Wednesday British Ambassador to Yemen Michael Aron.
Discussions dealt with a range of topics and issues of common interest including peace efforts and steps have been taken to bring about desirable peace and stability that is based on the three terms of reference embodied by GCC's Initiative, its executive mechanism, outcomes of National Dialogue and International Security Council resolutions, most important of all 2216.
President Hadi reiterated the government's sincere desire to establish peace, citing the government's constructive response to peace's efforts and the government's engagement in implementing Stockholm Agreement about Hodeidah despite the Houthi rebels' reluctance and evasive manners.
President Hadi highly appreciated the UK's supportive stances in supporting legality in Yemen and the Yemeni legitimate institutions, citing British support for convening of the Parliament in Sayoon of Hadramout.
For his part, the British diplomat renewed his congratulation on the convening of the parliament, expressing his pleasure to be personally in presence during this event. He described this event as an additional success for the Yemeni legitimate authority, boost its standing nationally and internationally.
Mr Aron stressed the importance of establishing peace in Yemen in which Stockholm Agreement is part of the solution but it is not the whole solution.
