Algeria's National Electoral Authority (NEA) announced that Abdelmadjid Tebboune won a second term in the presidential elections, after obtaining 94.65 percent of the votes.
Morocco achieved a valuable 1-0 victory over its counterpart Lesotho in the match that brought them together, in the Moroccan city of Agadir, in the second round of matches in Group Two of the qualifiers for the African Nations Cup 2025.
Central bank will see improvement in its institutional structure, says governor

The newly appointed governor of Yemen's central bank, Hafedh Mi'ayad, said in the coming period of time the bank will see an improvement in its institutional structure.
Presiding over a meeting of the bank's senior staff here today, he elaborated that the improvement will take place through several measures including restoring the monetary cycle and building close relations with commercial and Islamic banks and creating opportunities to revitalize economic life.
He said the bank will be restructured to keep up with the modernizations in counterpart central banks in the region.
Separately the governor met the visiting head of the EU Delegation to Yemen Antonia Calvo-Puerta and her companions.
He said the bank's management welcomes any support from the EU. Calvo-Puerta affirmed the willingness of the EU to offer support in the field of staff training to develop the bank's capacity.
