Yemen participated in the first regular of the Executive Board of the World Food Program , which was held at the WFP's headquarters in Rome on 25 February.
Yemen's delegation was headed by the country's ambassador to Italy and the permanent representative to the International Organizations in Rome Asmahan al-Tawki.
The session will discuss a number of issues related to the World Food Program from 25 to 27 February.
In a speech, al-Tawki appreciated the WFP's efforts in Yemen, including in strengthening the Quality Assurance System.
She stressed the importance of cooperation to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and ensure the arrival of aid to the most affected groups.
