The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Al-Ashwal, UNICEF director discuss vocational training programs

Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Ashwal and the director of the UNICEF office in Aden Naqibullah Safi discussed the development of programs in Yemen's technical schools.
The meeting discussed ways of cooperation between the Ministry and UNICEF in the implementation of a short term vocational training courses for under 18-year old persons who are not enrolled in vocational schools.
Al-Ashwal stressed the ministry's interest in embracing children especially those who are dropping out of schools by empowering them economically and providing them with different technical and vocational skills with which they can build career for the future.
