Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Najeeb Al-Awaj and the Humanitarian Coordinator Lisa Grande discussed the 2019 humanitarian response plan for Yemen in a meeting in Dubai on Wednesday.
The plan covers the areas of food, agricultural security, health, education, water, sanitation, housing for displaced persons, social protection and assistance to poor families through cash-for-work programs.
The Minister stressed the importance of focusing on development work because of its positive impact on the provision of basic services and reducing unemployment by the way of creating job opportunities.
