BRUSSELS-SABA
Foreign Minister Khaled Alyemany said pressure must be placed on Houthis for success of the Stockholm Agreement which the coupist militia signed with the government last December.
In a meeting with the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy within the EU Federica Mogherini here today, Alyemany said "Pressure must be placed on Houthis for the success of the Stockholm Agreement which the militia have tried to fail through a stage play of handing over the (Hodeidah) port to themselves and recurrent violations of the ceasefire."
He said the militia have fired live rounds on the governmental peace delegation, the liaison officers and the motorcade of the head of the UN monitoring team Patrick Cammaert.
He said the government is extending its hands for peace and supports the efforts of the UN and of the UN Secretary General's Special Envoy to get the Stockholm Agreement of December 13 implemented.
Ayemany spoke highly of the EU's continuous support to Yemen and the Yemeni government through donor conferences and assistance through the EU Commission.
