Yemen, Saudi Arabia discuss financial, economic coordination

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Najeeb al-Awj discussed with Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammad Al Jaber strengthening coordinative meetings between the ministry and Saudi Reconstruction Program in Yemen.
The two parties also discussed preparing action plans for following up joint issues and plans of joint financial and economic institutions.
Al-Awej reviewed situation developments in development field and activating joint coordination mechanisms with a number of international organizations and donors. He also pointed to resuming some stopped projects and confirmed their significance as they provide basic services and work opportunities to young people.
He also provided to Saudi program a study on quick needs for generating power in Abyan and Lahj provinces, praising efforts of Saudi Arabia for its generous support to Yemen.
For his part, Al Jaber praised efforts exerted by the ministry for improving development in Yemen, confirming continuous support by Saudi Arabia to Yemen's development.
