The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Fatah urges coordination between government, UNHCR for shelters

Minister of Local Administration Abdulraqeeb Fatah has confirmed implementing projects to displaced people and capacity building of local authorities in provinces and districts.
In his meeting with Director of the High Commission of Refugees (UNHCR)Jacqueline Parlevliet on Monday, Fatah called the Commission to find coordination plan with the government for finding shelters to displaced people and providing physical and cash support to displaced and affected families.
For her part, the UN official welcomed finding coordination plan between the government and the commission for providing relief support and carrying out livelihood project.
The two parties also discussed 2019 plan and the projects accomplished in 2018.
