The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Saudi Arabia hails Yemen gov't effort to protect human rights

Saudi Arabia has commended the Yemeni Government's efforts to protect and promote human rights and its continued willingness to work with the international community in that regard.
During Yemen's Universal Periodic Review in the Human Rights Council, the Saudi Ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasel said the Yemeni government exerted enormous efforts amidst big difficulties to produce the report that it presented for the UPR session.
Al-Wasel praised the Yemeni government's cooperation with all the international and regional efforts to find a peaceful political solution to the Yemeni crisis.
He called on the international community to intensify support for the Yemeni Government as it seeks to overcome the challengesand implement its human rights policies.
He called on the international community to also support Yemen in the fields of education and health care.
