The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. The local humanitarian organizations of Marib have called on the United Nations to establish a humanitarian center in the government-held city which accommodates thousands of Yemenis displaced by the Houthi militia.

In a meeting chaired by Marib's Deputy Governor Abd-RabbuMiftah, the city's organizationssaid such a UN center is necessary to serve the Yemeni IDPs in not only Marib but the surrounding provinces fAljawf, Shabwa and al-Beidha.

They expressed their displeasure that the representatives of the UN agencies are based in the Houthi-held Sana'aand not paying attention to the population forced by the rebel militia to flee into Marib andits neighboring provinces.
