Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr Najeeb al-Aweg held a high-profile meeting on Tuesday brought together Ministry's senior officials and the UN Office Project's Services (UNOPS in Middle East Bana Kaloti .
The session devoted to discuss the UN's projects currently carried out in Yemen, most important of all Urban Emergency Services Project totaling $150 million dollars funded by the World Bank (WB).
Deliberations also touched upon Emergency Project for Electricity in Yemen with total cost $50 million and the Emergency Response Project for Water, Sanitation and Urban Service, besides projects plan for 2019. Priorities pertaining to infrastructure, government's vision about development projects and promoting small enterprises were also addressed.
Partnership with private sector mainly concerning to encouraging woman and businesswomen and coordination via Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation all were key point.
The Minister commended significant role played by International organizations which operate in Yemen and substantial contribution they made to humanitarian efforts.
European Union (EU) delegation headed by Antonia Caldor and included French Ambassador to Yemen Christian Testu.
