Minister Fatah confirms government keenness on supporting local authorities

Minister of Local Administration, the Head of the Supreme Relief Committee Abdulraqeeb Fatah has confirmed keenness of President Hadi on providing all support to local authorities in liberated provinces and providing economic and development services to people.

In his meeting with Governor of Abyan General Abu Bakr Hussein and Governor of Lahj General Abdullah Turki on Wednesday, he said the political leadership's directives to the government to exert all efforts for providing services to people and realizing stability are clear.

The meeting tackled requirements of the two provinces from basic development and humanitarian services, pointing to significances of preparing development and economic projects and programs to be presented to donors and international organizations operating in humanitarian and development fields.

Fatah was briefed by the two governors on activities and plans and programs of local authorities during the past few years and providing their needs in next year plan, confirming that the ministry, the committee and the relevant bodies are currently coordinating with donors and international organizations for implementing sustainable development projects in the liberated provinces in 2019.

For their part, the two governors expressed their appreciation to the support from the government to local authorities to be reflected in serving the citizens and realizing stability.
