Yemen, UNDP discuss projects of supporting local authority's capacity-building

Minister of Local Administration, the Head of the Supreme Relief Committee Abdulraqeeb Fatah discussed with the Representative of the United Nations Development Program Walid Ba-Haron on Monday programs and projects carried out by the program in different provinces.
Fatah discussed the project, which will be carried out by the program for supporting capacity-buildings of local authorities within goals of supporting Yemen's development. The project costs USD 25 million.
He pointed out that the ministry gives special care for supporting local authorities and boosting their roles for managing administrative affairs in the country and provide services to the people.
He praised projects and programs implemented by the UNDP and their significance on deep-rooting stability in the provinces.
For his part, Ba-Haron made it clear that the program seeks to draw policies via coordination with ministry of local administration and concerned bodies for implementing projects supporting development and training local authorities' leadership.
