[28/12/2018 06:40]

ADEN-SABA
An authoritative official confirmed on Friday the government's commitment to carry out the agreement about detainees exchange, blaming Houthi militia for presenting untrue statements.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) the official said Houthi militia reported negatively about 2946 detainees held in its detention centers out of 8576 names incorporated in the list the government's delegation submitted to Sweden's consultations.

Concerning to the militia's detainees the official said " The large number of detainees the militia reported about indicates that they didn't enlist the true figure of their detainees , they rather enlisted the names of all persons they have lost in battles, so there are 2612 names incorporated in the list they submitted though they are not existing among detainees".

The official called on the UN envoy Martin Griffith to pressure Houthi militia to honor the agreement it inked in Sweden's consultations.
