Fisheries Ministry to grant 500 fishing boats, 500 boat engines to fishermen

Minister of Fisheries, Fahd Kafayen said that his ministry is preparing to afford and grant 500 fishing boats and 500 boat engines to fishermen affected by the Houthi militia's war in different parts of Yemen.

In a meeting with the deputy governor of Hodeidah Walid al-Qudaymi here on Wednesday, Kafayen said the boats and engines grant will be distributed in all provinces mainly in Hodeidah where many people, who depend on fishing, lost their livelihood at the hands of the coupist militia.

Al-Qudaymireviewed the most important fisheries projects implemented in Hodeidah mainly the district of Al-Khowkha with support from the UAE Red Crescent.
