MARIB-SABA
Governor of Marib Province Maj. General Sultan Al-Arradah received Sunday former U.S. Homeland Security Adviser Frances Townsend during her brief trip to the province.
Conversations focused on several significant topics about the developments in the Yemeni arena as a result of Iran-backed Houthi militia's disastrous coup against the legitimate authority.
Heavy burdens Marib province has been facing due to the coup d'état were also touched upon. The province is hosting the largest number of IDPs from different Yemeni regions, and refugees.
The governor has made clear that grass root of unspeakable humanitarian troubles has been the coup carried out by Houthi terrorist militia on September 21, 2014. He noted that the key solution to these problems is to put down the coup and reinstate the legitimate government headed by President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
" Coup in Yemen is unlike all well-known coup d'états , it is a coup against the Yemeni human and his/her identity. Houthi militia proclaims to have divine right to rule", said Al-Arradah.
The governor pointed out to significant support provided by Saudi-led Arab Coalition to Yemen in different fields and all provinces including Marib. He made a reference to an announcement about establishing an International airport in Marib to be funded by Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
For her part, Townsend briefed the governor on short visit to the province, citing her meetings with representatives of the Association of Mothers of Abductees and with children who recruited by the Houthi militia and she got firsthand facts about the violations have been committed by the militia against humanity in Yemen.
