Govt peace delegates 'committed to peacewithout conceding state's sovereign powers'

STOCKHOLM-SABA
The government's delegates to the UN-sponsored peace talks with Houthi rebels in Stockholm said they are "committed to reaching peace without conceding the state's sovereign powers."

In a meeting with the ambassadors of the UNSC's permanent ambassadors on the sidelines of the peace consultations, the Yemeni delegates headed by foreign minister Khaled Alyemany said the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah should be under the control of the government, peacekeeping in the city should be the responsibility of the security authorities affiliate to the Interior Ministry and the port facility should be operated by the port'sstaff under the supervision of the Transports Ministry.

The delegates praised the UNSC permanent member countries for their role in and partnership with Yemen.
