Ministry of Agriculture, FAO distribute agricultural aids

Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation and the UN Organization for Food and Agriculture (FAO) started on Tuesday to distribute agricultural requirements to small farmers.

First phase of a project funded by the European Union (EU) aimed to support farmers and help them improve their own income.
Some 8 thousand and 900 farmers from Lahj and Abyan provinces are expected to benefit from the first phase of the project.

The assistance included dried hay and molasses to feed cattle and milk equipments . 190 tons of feeds cubes distributed to 2500 farmers and 300 tons of molasses were distributed to 5 thousand farmers. Some 700 farmers received milk tools and equipments.
