VP informed about coast, borders guards training, functioning

Vice President (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh met Wednesday with Chairman of the Authority of Yemeni Coast Guards brigadier Khaled Al-Qamli and Commadner of Yemen Borders' Guards brigadier Abdullah Abu Hatim.

Brigadiers Al-Qamli and Abu Hatim reported to (Lt Gen) Mohssen about underway efforts activate missions of Yemeni Coast and Borders Guards.

The Vice President stated that President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi is keen to equip the coast and borders guards with necessary equipments and resources in order to be capable to protect Yemen's sovereignty and security and contribute to maintain regional and international security and secure brothers' and friends' interests.

The Vice President was briefed on the progress realized in improving the coast and borders guards' functioning and training.

He was also detailed about benefit from the technical and logistical support by the security team established by Yemen's Friends to help building capacity of Yemeni coast and borders guards. The team gives the developing of Yemeni coast and borders guards top priority, besides training and empowering the forces of fighting terrorism.

The Vice President voiced the political leadership's—headed by President Hadi—appreciation for continuous support provided by Saudi-led Arab Coalition, largely backed by the United Arab Emirates. He also expressed appreciation for the support from friends in the United States and United Kingdom. and United States.

(Lt Gen) Mohssen ordered more efforts and action, well organizing and arrangement to further develop the efficiency and capacity of coast and borders' personnel.
