The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. Prime Minister MaeenAbdulmalik welcomed the pledge of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to provide an additional $500 worth of food aid to Yemen to be channeled through international organizations.

In a statement to Saba, Abdulmaliksaid the importance of this initiative lies in the fact that it will benefit more than 12 million people from the most affected categories especially malnourished children, children under the age of five, school children, and elderly. The beneficiaries will be from all Yemen's provinces.

He appreciated the Saudi and Emirati stand by the side of the Yemeni people on all levels, including supporting with restoration of stability anddevelopment back to Yemen.

He called on the humanitarian relief organizations to intensify their efforts to deliver more assistance to all parts of Yemen.
