Ambassador Al-Wohaishi meets with Vice President of Russian Federation Council

MOSCOW-SABA
Yemen's Ambassador to Russian Federation Ahmed Salim Al-Whohaish met Wednesday with Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Illiyas Umakhanov.

Latest developments of the situations in Yemen was key focus of the discussions.

Al-Wohaishi stated that legitimate Yemeni government is very keen on finding out political solution that is based on the three well-known terms of reference which have been agreed on nationally, regionally and internationally. To this end, the legitimate government is ready to engage in any UN-led peace consultations.

The Ambassador noted that the Houthi putschist militia has been extraordinary intransigent therefore the intended peace discussions failed to make any progress.

The Russian official has confirmed his country's support for the UN envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths to find out a settlement to the Yemeni crisis. He noted that Russia will continue to contribute to humanitarian efforts in Yemen
