FM, UN Special Envoy discuss trust-building measures, peace track

Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Yemany discussed Wednesday with the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General to Yemen Martin Griffithis practical approaches to push peace process in Yemen and necessary measures to build trust as preliminary step forward to revive political consultation to put down the coup in accordance with the three terms of reference.
Al-Yemany stated that political leadership is very keen to go on peace process led by the UN as it is the only single way to establish peace, security, stability and restore the state's institutions..
He confirmed that the government is open to discus trust-building measures suggested by the UN envoy most notable of all releasing all prisoners, detainees, abductees and enforced disappeared persons.
The Foreign Minister praised the UN's efforts in humanitarian actions.
The UN envoy appreciated the government's efforts to make peace. He stated that his ready to work with the legitimate government prior setting out date and place for holding the intended consultations that he is looking forward to make positive steps on the path of peace in Yemen.
