Yemen's ambassador to Tokyo, Sameer Mohammad Khamis, discussed with Japan's Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Kenji Yamadathe bilateral relations between Yemen and Japan and means of enhancing them.
Khamis recounted Yemen's latest developments especially the government's efforts to bring about peace, the developments of the army's confrontation with Houthi rebels in Hodeidah province and the importance of liberating the vital seaport within the context of securing maritime navigation and preventing arms smuggling to the Houthi militia.
