Ashdadi: Houthi militia neutralized Parliament's efforts in different development spheres

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohammed Ashdadi cited efforts made by the Yemeni Parliament to speed up development drive and reduce poverty. He pointed out to the National Strategy for Poverty Reduction which approved by the Parliament accordingly the largest social insurance was established throughout the country's districts.

Speaking at the Global Parliamentary Summit Hunger and Malnutrition held Tuesday in Madrid, Ashdadi touched upon the loans the Yemeni parliament approved with the aim of achieving sustainable development. He cited the developmental Funds established in the country such Social Development Fund, Promoting Agricultural and Fishery Production Fund and Cooperative Agricultural Credit Bank.

Ashdadi blamed Houthi putschist militia for disrupting all efforts aimed to speed up the development process in Yemen." All legislative and executive efforts were seriously messed with by the Houthi militia which carried out a coup against a legitimate authority. The militia has disrupted all development efforts", said Ashdadi.
