Minister of Oil, Ambassador Al-Jaber receive first shipment of Saudi Electricity Fuels Donation

Minister of Oil and Minerals Aous Al-Aoud along with Ambassador of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to our country Mohammed Sa'eed Al-Jaber received Monday in Aden seaport the first cargo of the Saudi Electricity Fuels Donation.

The first shipment included 62 thousand metric tons of diesel and 25 thousand metric tons of mazout (black oil) with total cost $60 million.

Al-Aoud highly appreciated the Saudi grant. He said:" This significant support isn't new for the KAS that has been the greater supporter of the Yemeni peoples in different fields of development and services".

The Minister added that" Necessary measures have been taken to ensure better benefit from the grant". He noted that measures included creating monitoring committee from the government, Reconstruction Program and NGOs.

For his part, Ambassador Al-Jaber stated that this is a sort of economic support provided by the Saudi Reconstruction and Development in Yemen which ordered by the Custodian of the Two Holly Mosques to ensure electricity service for 24 hours.

Al-Jaber cited the projects have been launched by the Saudi Reconstruction and Development Program in Marib, Sayoon and Al-Maharah. He pointed out that efforts are made to operate Aden Public Hospital within six months in addition other projects in other provinces.

Al-Jaber stated that the new government is going to work with governors and Arab Coalition to boost development and services drive in the provinces.
