Yemen's Ambassador to Brussels Mohammad Taha Mustafa discussed on Thursday with the Head of Foreign Relations Committee at Belgium Parliament Dirk Van der Maelen latest developments in Yemen, pointing to Houthi militia's stubbornness on rejecting peace process.
Maelen confirmed his country's concern in Yemen's humanitarian affairs, stressing significance of Houthi militia's response to peace process and cooperation with the UN envoy for realizing peace and stability.
On the other hand, Mustafa discussed on Thursday with Ambassador, Director Middle-East/North Africa, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Raoul Delcorde peace efforts brokered by the UN envoy to Yemen and Houthi militia rejection of efforts of the envoy.
He pointed to violations committed by Houthis against civilians, resulting in difficult economic conditions.
He confirmed keenness of the government on realizing peace based on the three basic references represented in the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Security Council's resolutions led by Resolution 2216.
Ambassador Delcorde confirmed support of his country to the UN envoy's efforts for reaching a peaceful peace making Yemenis a way of more suffering.
He pointed out that his country provided yesterday € 5.5 million for humanitarian relief's efforts, indicating that his country's contribution in humanitarian field since 2015 reached € 28 million.
