Adviser in Royal Divan, General Supervisor of KSrelief Center Dr Abdullah Arrabi'ah announced that Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are going to provide $70 million.
The two countries halved the amount intended to sustain teachers' salaries in Yemen. The initiative to be carried out in cooperation with the UN and UNICEF, according to Arrabi'ah.
In press statement published Monday by Saudi Press Agency (SPA) Arrabi'ah said "…The KSA and UAE announced that they donate $70 million to reduce the gap in teachers' salaries in coordination with the UNICEF to contribute to providing the salaries of 135,000 teachers".
Arrabi'ah added" Coalition member states have provided above $17 billion in assistance since 2015 in order help alleviate the Yemeni peoples' suffering of economic hardships and humanitarian torment ".
