VP receives Chinese Ambassador to Yemen

Vice President (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh received Monday the Chinese Ambassador to our country Kang Yong.

The Vice President welcomed the newly appointed Chinese ambassador, wishing him all the best in his mission to further develop Yemeni-Chinese bilateral ties and cooperation to serve the mutual interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.

(Lt Gen) Mohssen stated that Yemeni legitimate leadership headed by President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has been very keen on bolstering relations between our country and China. He noted that Yemeni-Chinese relationships are historic, remarkably has been developed over recent years.

The Vice President cited several developments about the ongoing events in our country in light of the continuation of Iran-backed Houthi's coup. He pointed out to Houthi militia's attacks against the interests of brothers and friends.

He stated that Yemenis have great hopes of establishing permanent peace in Yemen that is based on the GCC's Initiative, its operational plan, outcomes of National Dialogue and International Security Council resolution 2216.

The Vice President highly appreciated Chinese supportive stances in supporting legality and Yemeni peoples' interests. He also expressed felicitations to the Chinese leadership and peoples on the National Day Celebrations of the 69 Anniversary of establishing the friendly People's Republic of China.

(Lt Gen) Mohssen pointed out to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's support for the Yemeni peoples in different fields, most recent significant support helped to prevent Yemeni Rial collapse.

The Chinese ambassador expressed pleasure to meet the Vice President, citing boosting bilateral ties and contributing to support legality and relieve the Yemeni people as his top priorities during his tenure.
