Japan invites Yemen to participate in UN Conference on Crime Prevention

Undersecretary of Justice Ministry Faisal Al-Majidi met Friday with the Japanese Deputy Minister of Justice Korkawa.
Conversations touched upon topics of common interests in the judiciary.

The Japanese deputy minister presented official invitation for Yemen to contribute to the UN's 14th Conference on Crime Prevention (Criminal Justice). The gathering is scheduled for April 20 to 27 of 2020 in the Japanese city of Kyoto.

Al-Majidi cited the government's efforts aimed to rebuild and reinstate the state's authorities that Houthi militia destroyed including justice authorities.

Yemen's Ambassador to Tokyo Sameer Khamees was in presence.
