Local authority of Socotra Archipelagos ordered urgent measures to unload oil ship grounded off coast the island. The ship is reported to have been laden with 500 tons of diesel.
A meeting held Wednesday chaired by deputy governor of Socotra aimed to decide necessary measures to discharge the ship prior the arrival of a tropical storm expected to reach the archipelagos within a couple of days.
Tracks will be used to carry out the diesel shipment into the oil tanks owned by ship owner corporate.
