Preliminary meeting in Aden discussed relieving IDPs

A meeting held in Aden Sunday devoted to discuss relief and humanitarian actions in the camps of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
Discussions touched upon underway relief efforts, challenges and shortages of food, medicines and health care.
Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr Nezar Basoheib chaired the meeting which included senior officials in charge.
Basoheib urged international organizations operate in relief to redouble their efforts with special focus on IDPs camps in Faqm, Mokha, al-Khokhah and Al-Dal'ea.
Undersecretary of Health Ministry Dr Ali Al-Waleedi highlighted urgent needs in shelter and food where IDPs suffer malnutrition.
Separately, Basoheib met with representative of OCHA in Aden Taher Ibrahim. Discussions focused on relief and humanitarian aids for the IDPs.
