Housing development's workshop launched in Aden

Minister of Public Work and Population MaeenAbdulmalik launched on Tuesday a workshop on housing development in the Republic of Yemen on the occasion of World Habitat Day.

Minister Abdulmalik presented a work paper on partnership between public and private sectors in housing development.Meanwhile Dr. Hussein al-Muflihi presented a paper on components and activities of housing societies.

The minister made it clear that the workshop aims at coming out with results and recommendations defining the actual need of housing units, which is increasing by the increase of population and as a chance for making studies for building housing complexes to societies of the state employees and boosting partnership between the public and private sector.

He pointed out the workshop also aims at creating laws, studies and accurate statistics of areas and numbers of members of the societies for searching for financers to launch this work simultaneously with the reconstruction process across Yemen.
