Canada increases Yemen humanitarian assistance up to $44 million

Canada announced additional humanitarian aids to Yemen with $ 28.5 million to support the Humanitarian Response Plan. It happened that Canada early this year provided $15.5 million in assistance to bring Canadian humanitarian aids to $44 million.
Canadian Minister of Migration, Refugees and Nationality Ahmed Hussein stated that his country will offer these humanitarian aids through the UN's interested agencies and some NGOs which operate in the humanitarian field.
Hussein added that the Canadian assistance aimed to support urgent humanitarian needs in Yemen, particularly in the spheres of food, health care, drinking water and sanitation.
It is important to note that Canadian humanitarian aids for Yemen since March 2017until now reached up to $ 93.5 million provided through the UN.
