Deputy Premier, the Minister of Interior Eng. Ahmed Al-Maysari and the CEO of the International Rescue Committee (IRC), David Milibandhave discussed in a meeting in the temporary capital Aden, a number of topics related to the humanitarian situation .

Al-Maysarireviewed with the IRC's delegation the efforts of the Yemeni government in facilitating the access of humanitarian aid to the people in conflict affected zones. He stressed that the Houthi militia, which overthrew the state in 2014, is now involved in obstructing the flow of aid to the provinces under the militia's control and are rather seizing and using the aid to sustain the resilience of their war effort.

Al-Maysaripraised the IRC's efforts in providing assistance to those affected by the war.
