President al-Alim Calls for Wide-Ranging National Alignment to Restore State Institutions, Eliminate Coup

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces urged all Yemeni people to align themselves behind the State Proposal, support the Armed Forces in the security services in the ongoing battle to restore the State institutions and eliminate the coup. Foreign Minister Khaled al-Yemany has praised the role of the Arab League supporting the government of Yemen for regaining the state and upending Houthi coup.

In his meeting with the Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmad Abulgheit on Monday on the sidelines of the 150th Round of the AL's Council on Foreign Ministers level, al-Yemany renewed government's commitment of peaceful solution to the crisis despite Houthi rebels' stubbornness and plots of failing peace efforts and recent peace consultations in Geneva.

The meeting comes in the framework of continuous coordination between the two parties for following up latest developments in Yemen and efforts for realizing sustainable peace in Yemen.

For his part, the Secretary General of the Arab League praised the role played by Yemeni diplomacy within the joint Arab work in different fields.

He renewed support of the Arab League to efforts of restoring the legality in Yemen.
