In a meeting with a delegation from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) on Monday, the governor of Shabwa province, Maj Gen. Ali Rashid Al-Harthy, discussed a number of humanitarian matters concerning the province.
In the meeting, which was attended by senior provincial executive officials, Al-Harthy pointed to the many urgent humanitarian needs.
On his part, the head of the OCHA delegation said that their visit aims to learn about the priority humanitarian needs of the province mainly in regards to relief aid for the people displaced and otherwise affected by the war; food and health-related assistance.
The OCHA delegation also met a number of leaders and representatives of civil society organizations in the province and discussed with them local humanitarian issues.
