Yemen, US discuss improving Yemeni Coast Guards, Special Forces

The Chief of General Staff Brigadier General Taher al- Oqaili discussed with the Commander of the US Central Command Joseph Votel on Wednesday improving Yemeni Coast Guard Forces, Marine Forces and Special Forces for facing threats of terrorist Houthi militia and smuggling.

The meeting discussed recent developments in Yemen and efforts of the government of Yemen for regaining the state and eradicating Iran-backed Houthi militia's coup on the state.

Al-Oqaili confirmed the political leadership under President Hadi is determined to restore all areas left under Hothi rebel militia whatever sacrifices are with support from the Saudi-led Coalition.

He also confirmed that Yemen will not be a launching bad for terrorist groups, rather an active part in realizing international peace and security.
