The local authority of Marib has discussed efforts to improve hospitality in the provinces to offer quality lodging and services for internally displaced people and tourists.
Presiding over a meeting with the owners of hotels and tourist facilities in the province local police and tourist departments on Tuesday, Marib's Deputy Governor Abd-RabbuMiftahstressed the importance of reviewing and unifying the price of hotel rooms in a manner that takes the interests of both thehotels and customers into account. He also called for publicizing the prices of services.
Over last two years, Marib has become a safe haven to which an increasing number of Yemenis are fleeing from the Houthirebels crackdown and coming for investment.
