Saudi air defenses intercept ballistic missile Houthis fired toward the kingdom
[24/08/2018 02:40]
RIYADH -SABA
The Royal Saudi Air Defense intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile fired in the direction of the kingdom's territories by the Houthi militia from Amran province on Thursday.

The spokesperson for the Arab Coalition forces Col. Turki al-Maliki said in a press statement quoted by the Saudi Press Agency that the missile which was intercepted "in its way toward the city of Jazaan had been deliberately aimed at targeting areas populated with civilians. But no casualties were incurred."

Al-Maliki said that this hostile action by the Iran-affiliate terrorist militia of Houthis proves the Iranian regime's continued involvement in supporting the Houthi armed militia with quality capabilities in a clear defiance of the UN resolutions no. 2216 and 2231 in order to threaten the Saudi, regional and international security.
